People say that every story has a beginning, a middle and an end. This one is no different......
It all began on the first day of February in Ellicott City. A single lonely owl was resting on the branch of a tall tree. Its root still covered in snow. At about noon, the owl noticed much activity at a particular house on Church street.
One by one, the members of the DC Dragon that has just arisen from their winter slumber began to shuffle into that particular house.
This was the annual team meeting to decide the goal of the team for 2009. The agenda for the day was to decide the which races to participate in for the year.
The meeting started mellow enough. Many of the newer member were hesitant to voice their opinion and this felt like it was going to be one long meeting but suddenly a strappy young lad spoke out with a scottish accent, "We should decide our priority for this season then pick the races that fit that priority." What a brillant idea that was.
Soon, it was pretty clear that the team wanted to qualify for the CCWC 2010 in Macau. This is our goal and that was how our journey began.....
